Hi
I had this problem to (29/10/09) at work and at home.
At work I reinstalled DW, and lost an hour of work.
At home I found your solution and lost a few minutes!
You solved my problem!

Sorry for the delay on getting back to you. Have been covered up with work lately.

That file could very well have been the problem. Most likely got corrupted and deleting it forced creation of a new one. Glad you got it fixed! I'll have to keep that in mind if DW starts acting up.

I've been using DW CS4 for several months now and have been very happy with it. Very few crashes.

Thanks for the reply!

Sorry for the delay, Danielle. I've been buried under work and have neglected the site.

I upgraded to Dreamweaver CS4 and haven't had any more of the crashing issues.

In an earlier article I had some problems with CS4 apps crashing and it turned out that I needed to update my audio and video drivers. So you might try that.

Cheers!

That did not work for me. It still freezes up when I try to edit the files. Any other suggestions?

Thanks for the kind words, Mark! Glad this was useful to you.

Sorry for the delay in replying. WordPress just now alerted me to your comment.

I play at being a musician and use Cubase 4 for sequencing, at the moment. I mostly use it for video and multimedia soundtracks, though. Your offer for Notation Composer would be very gratefully appreciated. I'd like to check it out.

Thanks!
