Have been covered up with work lately. That file could very well have been the problem. Most likely got corrupted and deleting it forced creation of a new one. Glad you got it fixed! I've been buried under work and have neglected the site. I upgraded to Dreamweaver CS4 and haven't had any more of the crashing issues.
